I’m a freelance makeup and special effects artist based in New Malden. I work primarily in film but have experience in all areas of makeup and special effects, which I’ve gained over the past ten plus years in the industry. Prosthetics is what I am most passionate about, I love not only applying pieces, but seeing the whole process through from sculpting to application when I’m lucky enough to have the chance. I definitely enjoy character makeups, or anything slightly weird and wonderful, but undertake even the simplest makeups with equal enthusiasm and love to dabble in all areas. I trained at Greasepaint Makeup School where I completed the ‘Tv, Film and Theatre’ course in hair and makeup as well as the ‘Further Prosthetics’ course. Prior to this I came from a model making background with a degree in ‘Model Design and Special Effects’ from the University of Hertfordshire – which has proven incredibly useful for my work with prosthetics and in other areas of practical effects.
